Jo Bostock MBE

Jo specialises in supporting leaders and senior teams to realise the value of inclusive, high performing organisations. She creates space for decision-makers to explore what drives them, the choices they make and how they want to use their influence.

Jo has run her own consultancy since 2005 with engagements ranging from global brands operating in multiple geographies, through to SMEs, not-for-profit organisations and entrepreneurial start-ups. Her expertise is grounded in her skill as an Executive Coach, which is underpinned by a Masters in Professional Development.

Jo’s cross-sector experience encompasses the Media, Charities, Insurance, Maritime, Finance, Professional Services, Technology, Law, Construction, Sport and the Arts. She has also collaborated with leading academic institutions, including publishing “The Meaning of Success – Insights from Women at Cambridge” with the University of Cambridge. She conducted in-depth research with the RIBA to look at the value of diverse role models and the characteristics of inclusive work environments.

Jo’s aim is to generate a powerful pause in which leaders have the oxygen, stretch and support to help them navigate complexity, hold steady amidst uncertainty and learn from experience. Throughout this process there is a focus on pragmatism and live organisational priorities. Jo’s systemic approach factors in the real-world context experienced by leaders and the politics of interpersonal engagement. This stimulates leaders to generate options for action that align with their values, ambitions and the needs of their organisations.

Jo’s interest in the dynamics of effective, inclusive leadership led her to co-found the Women’s Sport Trust, a leading charity dedicated to using the power of sport to accelerate gender inclusion. This saw her recognised as one of the top 20 most influential women in British sport. Jo was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to gender equality in sport.
